Waterlilies

Our water lily farm at Hazorea is situated in the fertile Jezreel valley in Northern Israel in an area that was swampland for hundreds of years. It is believed that this was one of the only places in the world where the Blue Egyptian Lotus, (actually the tropical waterlily Nymphaea Caerulea), and the Hardy White Waterlily (Nymphaea Alba) grew side by side. This is where we now grow over 100 true to type varieties of hardy and tropical water lilies as well as a selection of lotus. This is where climate, water and soil conditions are perfect for the growth and propagation of beautiful, strong water lilies and lotuses. Our selection includes newly hybridized cultivars that are usually difficult to come by, as well as the popular �classics�. We also have a few hybrids that originated here at Hazorea and are not grown anywhere else.

HOW IMPORTANT IS QUALITY?
We supply bare root lilies (rhizomes) for immediate potting or for storage (instructions supplied upon request). Since we replant all our ponds every year, you will always receive fresh and vital rhizomes � no matter when you order. We believe that this is the �secret� behind our unbeatable quality. Hazorea rhizomes will usually have at least one additional growth point/eye. All our produce is "fish proof" as we never use chemicals or fertilisers and everything is treated and prepared especially for export under the supervision of the Plant Protection and Inspection Services of the Israel Ministry of Agriculture. We deliver to leading wholesalers in Europe, North America, South Africa and the Far East, and our produce meets all International import regulations for plant material.

Most of our customers are saving inventory, overhead and energy costs by ordering the lilies when they need them instead of planting them before the winter. Hazorea lily rhizomes that are brought in and planted in late winter are guaranteed to be ready in early spring, far before locally grown lilies or those potted in fall.

We may be half a world away, but we guarantee to ship your order on time, any time. Delivery is by air - usually within 2 weeks of receipt of order. Urgent orders can be shipped in few days. We can supply US customers with small quantities of lilies as and when needed.
