Our water lily farm at Hazorea is situated in the fertile Jezreel valley in Northern Israel in an area that was swampland for hundreds of years. It is believed that this was one of the only places in the world where the famed and mystical Blue Egyptian Lotus, (actually the tropical waterlily Nymphaea Caerulea), and the Hardy White Waterlily (Nymphaea Alba) grew side by side. This is where we now grow over 100 true to type varieties of hardy and tropical waterlilies as well as a selection of lotus. This is where climate, water and soil conditions are perfect for the growth and propagation of beautiful, strong waterlilies and lotus. Our selection includes newly hybridized cultivars that are usually difficult to come by, as well as the popular “classics”. We also have a few hybrids that originated here at Hazorea and are not grown anywhere else.
